MPSC Civil Engineering Main Exam 2023: The Maharashtra Public Service Commission has released specific instructions for candidates appearing in the upcoming Civil Engineering Services Main Examination 2023, scheduled to be held on January 28, 2024.

The notice released by MPSC lists several guidelines that candidates are required to adhere to, during the conduct of Main recruitment exam 2024. Here’s an overview of the points mentioned in the exam guidelines.

S No Examination guidelines issued by the MPSC
1. To enter the examination hall, present the original admission certificate downloaded from the Commission’s online application system website.
2. Review the “Guidelines for Procedures to be Followed by Candidates During Examinations Conducted by Maharashtra Public Service Commission” on the Commission’s website.
3. Arrive at the examination sub-center 1.5 hours before the exam; no entry after the time specified on the admit card.
4. For identity, submit an original Aadhaar card, Election Commission identity card, passport, PAN card, or smart card-type driving license. Provide a clear photocopy for each paper.
5. Strictly prohibit mobile phones, telephones, or any telecommunication devices in the examination hall.
6. Unauthorized individuals, including friends, relatives, and guardians, are strictly prohibited from entering the Examination Sub-Centre premises.
7. Candidates consuming alcohol or drugs may face legal action and potential debarment from Commission-conducted examinations.
8. After verification, proceed to the assigned seat; any deviation may result in Commission-initiated actions, including candidature cancellation.
9. No private vehicle parking provided at the Examination Sub-Centre for candidates.
10. Strictly adhere to instructions on the Question Booklet, Answer Sheet, and Admit Certificate.
11. Ensure accurate details on the answer sheet, including exam name, meeting number, set number, and subject code.
12. No additional time allotted for marking answered questions after the designated examination period.
13. Individuals attempting wrongdoing may face debarment at the Commission’s discretion, with actions taken according to prevailing rules and laws.

Selection process
According to the recruitment notice, a merit list is prepared by combining marks from the main examination and interview. The first general merit list is then published on the Commission’s website. After the general merit list is published, candidates are required to submit their preference order for cadre/posts through the Commission’s online application system within the specified period. Eligible candidates have one opportunity to state their preferences, especially in cases where multiple cadre and/or department posts are available.
Candidate eligibility for a cadre/post is assessed based on standards of physical fitness and educational qualifications provided in the pre-examination application. Candidates not meeting the prescribed conditions will not be given preference for the cadre.
Further, the notice states that a provisional selection list prepared based on the order of preference submitted by candidates. This list is then published on the Commission’s website, and candidates have seven days to submit the option of opting out from the recruitment process online.
The Final Recommendation List will then be prepared, considering the provisional selection list and the leave status of candidates who chose to exit the recruitment process. Throughout this process, the submission of preferences and withdrawal from the recruitment process is mandatory through the online application system within the specified period and manner.
